ZŁOMBOL is an annual charity car rally that has been taking place for 18 years. Participants travel thousands of kilometers in old, often worn-out vehicles to raise funds to support children from orphanages. It was the18th edition of this unique event, also known as “The Atlantic Road Edition”.
This year’s route led from Chorzów in Poland to the picturesque Atlantic Road in Norway. The participants had to cover approximately 3,500 km, which was quite a challenge for the old cars and their undefeated crews. The route was full of spectacular views, but also in difficult conditions that tested the endurance of the vehicles and participants.
The Polfill® brand decided to join this year’s edition, in which an experienced driver and Polish People’s Republic motoring enthusiast – Mariusz Karcz and his co-driver, support and wife in one – Jola Karcz took us with their vehicle. Mariusz has often participated in charity car rallies, but Złombol was a new experience for him.
They set off in their 32-year-old Polonez, with a quite characteristic “Hornet” appearance, perfectly recognizable to all “Blok Ekipa” fans.
The route led through picturesque landscapes, but also presented many challenges to our heroes, such as vehicle breakdowns or difficult weather conditions.
ZŁOMBOL is not only a rally, but also a unique community of people with a passion for motoring and a willingness to help. Participants make new friends, share experiences and overcome difficulties together along the route. This is an event full of emotions that brings together people with big hearts. We are very happy that we could be a part of it.
